First Aid
Wilderness first aid is one of the most important certifications for wilderness guides. It is also the one we never want to have to use. However, nature is unpredictable and things happen. Having the skills and confidence to manage emergency situations professionally is critical. Our students not only complete a 90 hour course with Slipstream First Aid but also under go another 50 hours + in practical and experiential learning in the field. Using this integrated learning approach allows students to consolidate and retain knowledge at a higher rate. When they graduate, they are better prepared to handle each situation in their scope of practice.
