Required Gear

The cost depends very much on what quality gear you buy. It may be possible to buy all of the gear you need for the course for under $2,000 CAD, assuming you have nothing at all. If there is any equipment you need for the course that you don’t already own, we recommend waiting until you start the course, as you will get a number of discounts at various retailers around Victoria with your student card.

We provide all textbooks, most are on loan, and some you get to keep.

We recommend saving for your personal expenses such as food, rent, etc.

Financial Aid for Canadian Students

Our students are allowed to apply for student loans, because the college is accredited through the BC Government’s Private Training Institutions Branch.

You can apply for the course while waiting for student loans. But please be aware that all cheques will be cashed for the first payment on July 1st, and student loans usually don’t come through until after the course has started.
