Community Courses

Cancellations

Some of the classes offered are affected by nature. Should a Community Course be cancelled due to environmental reasons, Westcoast Adventure College shall offer a full refund or the opportunity to join a course taking place at a later date.

Refunds

A Community Course registrant who wishes to cancel must do so a minimum of 14 days before the start date of the course to receive a full refund.

A Community Course registrant who cancels between 13 and 5 days before the start date of the course will receive a 50% refund.

Expectation

Community Course participants are expected to treat instructors with respect and listen to directions.

Instructors have the right to dismiss an unprepared participant as dictated by the Course Requirements, particularly for field work, with no refund.

Abusive behaviour toward an instructor or classmate is grounds for dismissal with no refund.

*Abuse is any form of physical, emotional or sexual mistreatment or lack of care that causes physical injury or emotional damage to anyone.

Participants must be free from the influence of drugs or alcohol during Community Course hours and at all times on Westcoast Adventure College property. A participant under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be dismissed with no refund.
