Sheelagh holds a degree from the University of Victoria in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. It was her own healing journey that sparked a great passion in learning nature’s wild medicines, and she has since studied with many fine herbalists through workshops and books. Sheelagh now makes herbal medicines for her community of Denman Island, as well as guiding students into the world of wild herbs, which she has been doing for over 20 years. Dedicated to her craft, she reads her plant identification books every day while eating breakfast.
